BAKING fans are being invited to take part in the Alzheimer’s Society’s Cupcake Day.
Whether you are a baking novice or a seasoned pro, people are asked to unite against dementia with family, friends and colleagues by baking or buying cupcakes to raise funds.
Now in its third year, Cupcake Day raised £1m in 2017 and in the past has been supported by celebrities including Suranne Jones, Paul Hollywood and Ruth Langsford.
Dementia is set to be the 21st century’s biggest killer and will affect one million by 2021.
Each cupcake will help Alzheimer’s Society find a cure, improve care and offer help and understanding for people affected by dementia.
This year’s Cupcake Day will be held on Thursday, June 14.
