YORK Carers Centre is holding monthly coffee mornings for unpaid carers.

The Carers Cafe takes place on the first Wednesday of every month at the Spurriergate Centre.

Unpaid carers are encouraged to come along for a cuppa and a chat between 10am-11.30am to meet other carers in the area.

This is a free service from the York Carers Centre and people are welcome to bring the person they care for too.

A carer support worker will be at the cafe to talk to, as well as a member of the York Mental Health Carers Group.

The next session takes place on Wednesday, May 2.

The centre is an independent charity, which provides support to carers across the city.

The Spurriergate Centre is wheelchair accessible. There is no need to book.
