FROM lunchtime today, residents in areas outside York will be able to order food to be delivered from restaurants to their door.
Uber Eats, which launched in the city in June last year, has expanded its delivery area outside of the city centre and into New Earswick, Rawcliffe and Fulford.
The app works using cashless technology and is linked with more than 20 restaurants in York, including Chiquito, Frankie & Benny's, Giraffe and others.
Daniel Calvert, Head of Launch & Expansion for Uber Eats UK said: "We have been blown away with how popular the app has been in York, so we’re really excited to be expanding into New Earswick, Rawcliffe and Fulford.
"People can now get great food at the touch of a button delivered straight to their home or office. We have partnered with over 20 restaurants, so we hope there will be something for everyone’s tastes."
The app runs from 7am to midnight seven days a week and can be downloaded from ubereats.com
