FIREFIGHTERS from Selby were called to a chimney fire at a house off Lumby Hill, Hillam.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said a crew was sent to the property at about 7.30pm on Friday.
The fire was out on arrival and a spokeswoman said the crew used a thermal imaging camera to carry out an inspection which found the fire was likely caused by an incorrectly fitted log burner.
