POLICE are investigating a possible sighting of a man who went missing from York more than two years ago.
Rory Johnson-Hatfield from Skipton was last seen in the early hours of November 20 2015 on CCTV around Tower Street, Skeldergate Bridge and City Mills, after spending a night out in the city centre.
Extensive searches were carried out in the following weeks.
Police are now investigating reports that Rory may have been spotted in Cornwall.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “North Yorkshire Police are currently working with Devon and Cornwall Police, following a report of a possible sighting of missing man, Rory Johnson-Hatfield in Cornwall.
“Anyone who has any information which would assist the investigation is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option one and pass the information to the Force Control Room. Please quote reference 12150207141.”
