POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was involved in a collision with a car on Albemarle Road in York.
The youngster was left with a fractured ankle after the incident on March 8 at about 1.50pm.
The driver was in an orange car and stopped briefly to speak with the teenager before getting back into the vehicle and driving away without leaving details, police said.
Officers said the victim is likely to need surgery on his ankle.
Police are keen to speak with the driver of the vehicle and are appealing for anyone who saw the car to get in touch with them.
