THE levels of the River Ouse in York have been rising, causing flooding in the King's Staith and Queen's Staith areas.
A flood alert is in place for the Upper River Ouse at Queen’s Staith Road.
There is a more severe flood warning in force for the Ouse at Naburn Lock, south of York. A warning had been issued and was then removed earlier today, but it is now in place again.
An alert has also been issued for the Tidal River Ouse. The area covered by the alert includes Selby.
There is an alert in force for the Lower River Derwent, with the alert area covering Stamford Bridge and Wilberfoss.
In addition, the EA has issued an alert for the Lower River Nidd around Skip Bridge, near Kirk Hammerton.
