WINTRY conditions have forced many schools to close today (March 2).

In York, it has been confirmed that York College will be closed today and Our Lady Queen of Martyrs RC Primary is shut due to heating failure.
No other schools in the city have as yet confirmed they are closed.
More than 100 schools across North Yorkshire (outside of York) will be closed today, including:

St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Primary School, Ampleforth
St. Hilda's Ampleforth Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School
Terrington Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School
The Rubicon Centre, Selby
Welburn Community Primary School
Whitby, Stakesby Community Primary School
