MAN Booker Prize shortlisted author Fiona Mozley of York is to be interviewed about her book Elmet at the launch event of York Literature Festival on March 15 at York St John University.

Fiona will be interviewed by Rob O’Connor, the festival director. The York Centre for Writing will launch alongside the 2018 festival with a public event when members of the Creative Writing department will read from their work.

Tickets are now on sale for the festival with a wide variety of authors, artists, book readings, talks and events taking place across various venues in York between March 15 and 26.

This year’s programme has a major theme focussing on history and historical fiction.

This includes Dr Lucy Worsley talking about Jane Austen; Sir Simon Jenkins discussing the impact of railway stations and Dr Janina Ramire zspeaking about medieval mysticism.
