YORK Minster’s historic Chapter House will host a special event to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day on Wednesday.
There will be 600 candles, set out on the floor in the form of the Star of David lit throughout the evening from 4.45pm to remember more than six million Jews murdered by the Nazis in World War Two.
The Minster’s ceremony is part of a week-long programme of events across the City of York, the UK and internationally, marking Holocaust Memorial Day on January 27.
Evensong begins at 5.15pm.
