A BUS boss will outline his firm’s plans for the future at a public meeting in York next week.

York Bus Forum says it is continuing its campaign to improve the city’s bus services by staging the meeting at 5.30-7pm next Tuesday at West Offices in Station Rise.

Chair Graham Collett said it will be addressed by Ben Mansfield, marketing and communications manager of Transdev, about its new Leeds ‘City Zap’ service, upgraded Coastliner service, electric buses and other innovations.

“Everyone is welcome to the meeting, which will include the opportunity to ask questions and to discuss what people are looking for from York’s buses,” he said.

“The forum meets on the third Tuesday of each month, except August, at West Offices.”

He added that the forum was a voluntary group set up initially to lobby against cuts in evening and Sunday services, which now worked to improve bus services in and around York.
