LITTLE Camille Alba Martinez became one of the first babies born in 2018 at York Hospital.
Weighing 9lb 3oz, she arrived at 1.04am, and was the first girl born at the hospital on New Year’s Day, with only one baby boy born before her.
Her mum Carla Tracey said having a baby on New Year’s Day makes it “even more special".
Carla and her fiancé and Camille’s dad Christian Martinez, of Clifton Moor, have thanked the hospital’s staff for their “amazing” support.
The new mum said it was “overwhelming” to see Christian’s face when he saw Camille for the first time.
“The experience was surreal but amazing,” she said.
Jay-Jay Christopher Barry Cahill was the first baby born on Christmas Day at York Hospital at 10.42am, weighing 5lb 12oz. His arrival came earlier than his parents Beckie Houlgate and Joeby Cahill, of Tang Hall, were expecting, as they had been given a due date of January 10.
