YOUNG footballers gave up their time to help shoppers pack their bags in a bid to raise funds.
Members of York Schoolboys Under 11s to Under 15s teams lent a hand with bag packing at Sainsbury's Huntington store.
Their efforts, which were rewarded with donations from grateful customers, aimed to raise funds to help kit out future generations of York footballers as well as for York Against Cancer.
Chairman of York Schoolboys Brendan Qualter said: "All the York boys across all age groups have represented their city with great pride and sportsmanship so far this season and as usual were a credit to their parents, raising money in the correct manner for good causes."
