YORK’S biggest band have confirmed their biggest show in a 27-year career.

Shed Seven are currently on their biggest ever tour to mark the release of their first studio album in 16 years - Instant Pleasures - and have already played hometown gigs in York.

The band took to social media on Tuesday to announce they had confirmed the venue for what they call “a career defining show”.

In a Facebook post they wrote: “When the band formed back in the early 90s we could have never dreamt that in 2017 we’d be bigger than ever; to be currently out in the UK playing our biggest ever SOLD OUT tour to over 60,000 people and celebrating a critically acclaimed top 10 album. And it’s all down to the support of our loyal fanbase... the real foundation of Shed Seven.

“For years we have wanted to put on a career defining show, a show that will go down as a milestone in the band's history. Manchester Castlefield Bowl, June 29, will be that moment. Our biggest headline show ever, with 8,000 of you there to celebrate with us. We hope that Shed Seven fans will travel from far and wide to join us for this very special night... it might not happen again.”

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday), from 10am at gigsandtours.com.
