TEMPERATURES in York are set to fall below freezing in the coming days, and snow could be on the way.
Forecasters at the Met Office say temperatures will peak at three degrees Celsius tomorrow, with lows of zero, but could drop as low as minus two on Saturday.
As Sunday warms up - to between zero and two degrees Celsius - forecasters say there is a 60 per cent chance of snow from about 9pm on Sunday, through until the early hours of Monday morning.
Elsewhere in the country, Storm Caroline could see winds reaching speeds of between 60mph and 70mph, but Met Office forecasters claim winds in York will only reach about half of that, with windspeeds of between 21mph and 38mph expected on Thursday.
