TWO men were found hiding in gardens and arrested after officers were called out to a report of a burglary in York this morning.
North Yorkshire Police received a report of a burglary on St Helen’s Road, in Dringhouses, at around 4.30am.
A National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter was scrambled to Dringhouses to help with the search.
@PC541NYP wrote on Twitter that a police dog helped find a man hiding in a garden, and another man was also found hiding in a garden by officers.
Both were arrested.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said: "Officers attended the scene and following searches and assistance from NPAS, a 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of going equipped for burglary and a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicious of attempted burglary with intent to steal.
"Both remain in police custody."

"They have both been detained and arrested.
