A VILLAGE near Selby has enjoyed its first pantomime in years thanks to a group of local mums.
Two sell out performances of the fairytale Cinderella have taken place at the primary school in Hemingbrough.
Scriptwriter Fiona Robson gave the script a Hemingbrough twist.
The pantomime was choreographed by Rachel Hills who also played an Ugly Sister, with music provided by village mum, Jeni Jaye, who is currently on ITV’s Emmerdale.
A total of more than 180 people watched the two performances of the show.
The pantomime, which raised in excess of £1,000 for Hemingbrough Community Primary School, was supported by the school fundraising charity Hemingbrough Friends and Neighbours Club, which provided refreshments and a raffle.
