A MAN who climbed onto a lorry on Kirby Misperton Road this morning has been arrested, according to police.
The man boarded the vehicle near the junction with the A169 at 9.50am.
After more than four hours spent atop the lorry, the man climbed down from the vehicle at around 2.10pm.
Police say he was arrested on suspicion of "holding onto a motor vehicle in motion, an offence under the Road Traffic Act".
They added that he remains in custody.
Earlier in the day, with traffic building on the nearby A169, police put a contraflow system in place so traffic was able to pass the lorry.
Update:
Police have since said that "the 28-year-old man has been charged with hindering the use of equipment, an offence under the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act 1992".
There have now been 56 arrests in connection with protest activity at Kirby Misperton since the start of September. Of those, 42 have been charged to court.
