AN annual art festival taking place this weekend will give aspiring artists chance to 'grow' their skills.

The Big Draw Festival will be at the Treasure House in Beverley on Saturday, October 14 for anyone who loves to draw, as well as those who don’t think they can.

Living Lines is this years theme and organisers want visitors to get creative whilst focusing on 'Lines that Grow' and 'Lines that Move'.

There are free drop-in activities for visitors of all ages including under 5s.

The free event runs from 10am to 3pm. All materials are provided and no drawing skills are required.

Sarah Hammond, education officer said: “We aim to display people’s drawings so that they ‘grow’ around the spaces in the building. We’ve also got some fun plant-themed craft and play activities especially for under 5s.”

There are numerous special workshops that last one hour and cost £5 including Zig-A-Zag-A-Draw workshop for over sevens.
