IN response to Ken Holmes' letter "Is show now too more commercial"? (Readers' Letters, July 14), I wish to express my views on the Great Yorkshire Show.
I believe that if people followed the designated routes issued by the organisers of the Yorkshire Show, the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, and avoided the roads stated, they would arrive at the showground much sooner.
I travelled from Wheldrake, went by Little Ribston, and was there within an hour.
The Great Yorkshire Show is a fantastic agricultural event, which the Yorkshire Agricultural Society should be proud in organising yet another successful show. I was extremely proud to have been in attendance, supporting my county at the show this year.
