IF YOU think that To Catch A Dream doesn't stand a hope in The Press Business Awards 2007, dream on.

The family-owned bed and linen shop in Harrogate's swanky Montpellier Quarter is pitching for the Retailer Of The Year and Progress Through People titles.

The Dixon family, who have been selling beds and linens since the 1970s, have opened a Hastens Studio.

Hastens is the Swedish company whose famous handcrafted beds range from £4,680 for a double bed to £16,000 for a king size.

Terry Dixon, the managing director, his wife, Christine, their son-in-law Frank and daughter, Cheryl, have also launched website, www.linensbypost.co.uk, and in June won a major contract to supply the 48-bedroom Clumber Park Hotel, in Nottinghamshire.

The firm has also teamed up with near-neighbours, Harrogate Toffee, to offer a sweet gift with every purchase through their website.

The shop has won Harrogate's In Bloom Award for the fourth year running for its displays of hanging baskets and its floral rooftop terrace.

Then there was the shop's sponsorship of Harrogate Hospital Radio, with Mr Dixon editing and recording what came naturally to himbedtime stories.

But it is his staff who get the praise.

Apart from the four directors, it employs seven people.
