AS A member of the "ageing" population, I am used to New Labour blaming me for the failures in the health service.
But now it seems, according to Yvette Cooper, I am to blame for the shortage of affordable housing.
This shortage has got nothing to do with the fact that, for ten years, Gordon Brown has refused to allow councils to borrow money to build council houses and has everything to do with the fact that pensioners are living too long.
It seems that pensioners who have worked all their lives paying income tax and National Insurance are a burden on society, and should die quickly to make life easier for politicians.
I suppose we started the war in Iraq as well.
