Castlegarth went top of division three in the Fulford Ladies Invitation League after beating leaders Civil Service.
A good team performance was started in the first round, when Angie and Trish Bell won 10-2, while Rachel Hill and Alison Barker chipped in with a 9-3 victory. In the last round, Kate Durkin and Sylvia Johnson had a 9-3 win to complete a 63-45 victory.
Cawood beat Wheldrake 58-50, with Wheldrake's Denise Neary and Sally Simpson the only couple to get three wins.
York beat Tadcaster 74-73 when top scorers Louise Lister and Wendy Stirke dropped five games.
Wheldrake could only get two couples when Castlegarth visited and it was a one-sided match as Castlegarth jumped into fourth place in division one.
Division two leaders Pocklington look like picking up the title after beating Fulford 62-46. Carolyn Pearce and Claire Taylor were in great form winning 9-3, 8-4, 9-3.
Copmanthorpe had a 74-34 win at Appleton Roebuck.
Knaresborough beat York to move into third place. Suzanne Rowe and Mayan Moulton had three straight wins, collecting 28 games in a 62-46 win.
