A BANK Holiday scorcher is on the way in York and North Yorkshire today, with temperatures rising as high as 24C.
Forecasters expect long spells of sunshine, with just a westerly breeze, and a maximum temperature in York of 23C and in Filey of 24C.
But holidaymakers should make the most of the warmth, as rain tonight is set to herald a change to much cooler weather, with a maximum tomorrow of only 17C in York and of just 15C by Wednesday.
