DAVID Scott has been appointed as a senior associate within Hethertons employment team.

Mr Scott is well connected to the city of York, having been elected as a councillor and acted as Under Sheriff.

He is also a member of a number of legal organisations including the Employment Lawyers Association and Industrial Law Society, where he served as a Member of the Executive Committee and Vice Chair.

FORD Risk Management has announced the promotion of Jed Wademan to senior risk manager.

Mr Wademen joined the Poppleton-based business in November 2013 as trainee risk manager.

In the last four years since joining Ford Risk Management, Mr Wademan has also gained training qualifications which has allowed him to become an assessor for vocational qualifications up to level 5 (Diploma) and is a licensed trainer for the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

Langleys has strengthened its corporate team with the appointment of Oliver King.

Mr King joins Langleys from Walkers Commercial Solicitors in York where he qualified in 2013. He studied at the College of Law in the city.

He has extensive expertise in working alongside business owners and management teams on mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs and corporate governance matters.
