A MAN was arrested near Selby on suspicion of money laundering.
North Yorkshire Police officers stopped a blue Ford Focus in Church Street, Brotherton, at about 11pm on Wednesday night.
A spokeswoman said the driver, a 27-year-old man from the Selby area, was found to be driving without insurance, and also arrested for money laundering following the discovery of a large amount of cash in the vehicle.
The man remained in custody for questioning at time of going to press.
