I RECENTLY stayed at York Minster Hotel with my mother on a short break in York.
This hotel is a credit to York. A delight and almost like a hidden gem.
Our room was simple, yet really homely and welcoming. Just the ticket after a long coach ride, which on the most part is enjoyable with enough of the right company.
Breakfast is also much like home from home and is served with finesse and a loving hand no doubt. Apparently there is a new chef, who, aided by friendly breakfast waiters, who seemed to take it all in their stride. Lovely. An asset to York truly.
There are some terrific eateries and lots to see in York, but it's great to be able to come back after a day doing the "tourist thing" and flop somewhere, well, home from home.
