TO WHOEVER organised the traffic flow on the first day of this year's Great Yorkshire Show, can I say five hours from Selby to the showground is an absolute disgrace.

I could have galloped across fields on horseback and done it in half the time.

It is, in any case, no longer the agricultural show it once was. In my opinion, most of it now signifies a massive outdoor market and I think it is vastly over-commercialised. Or is it just that the 21st century isn't ready for the likes of me, or me for it?
