A 58-year-old York man has been charged to court over allegations of racial abuse.
North Yorkshire Police said today the man was arrested on July 1 in Rougier Street.
A spokeswoman said the man has been charged with three counts of racially or religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress, and three counts of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
The Press understands there were three victims, and police said on social media the victims were bus drivers for First York.

The man is due before York and Selby Magistrates' Court next week.
