WE are at the height of the cricketing summer yet, after the Lancashire T20 game, Yorkshire will not play for another week.
Considering how much county cricket is now played in early April and late September, when poor weather is more likely than in July, surely the fixture organisers could do a better job and reduce the season at both ends.
