A MAN who was stabbed in a York street has been released from hospital.

Police were called to Etty Avenue, in Tang Hall, shortly after midnight on Saturday and found the injured man who was taken to York Hospital for treatment.

North Yorkshire Police said this weekend there had been a fight in the street and two men were arrested in connection with the disturbance.

A 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail while investigations continue.

A police spokesman said the 30-year-old man who received stab wounds to his body was also arrested in connection with the incident, and has since been discharged from hospital. The spokesman said his injuries were not serious.

Both men have been released on bail, and police are currently looking for a third man in connection with the incident.
