The Women’s Institute is looking to its roots as it prepares to welcome thousands of visitors to its pavilion at this year’s Great Yorkshire Show.
The organisation has chosen the theme of Botanicals for its exhibit this year, taking inspiration from plants and flowers. More than 200 entries from WI members across North Yorkshire West Federation will fill the displays, covering everything from traditional jams and preserves to creative crafts and inspired design. Visitors will also have the chance to vote for their favourite entry in the Floral Fantasy competition, where the most popular of the 11 displays will be declared the winner at the end of the three-day show in Harrogate.
