NOW this is what we call resilience. The flood-hit Mumbai Lounge in Fossgate didn’t content itself with an ordinary refit following the Boxing Day floods of 2015. It decided to track down Philip Game, the artist who had painted the original 1920s-themed murals which decorated the restaurant - and commissioned him to paint a new set.
That involved tracking him to Sweden. But the murals are now completed. And brilliant they are too: rich, vibrant and full of colour and life. Well done to the Mumbai for refusing to be beaten.
