A NEW BBC documentary is to give viewers a glimpse behind-the-scenes at the moment a British-built steam engine hit 100 mph for the first time in 50 years on the East Coast Main Line.

Tornado clocked the speed during a test run on the line between Doncaster and Newcastle, passing through York, on April12.
