ACOMB II and Stamford Bridge II both have maximum points after two games in Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League Ebor division two.

Acomb were set a target of 206-6 by Hemingbrough (Robert Peet 63, Aiden Coulbeck 37) and secured an eight wicket victory with five balls to spare.

Opener James Fletcher was run out on 97 for Acomb while Leon Sacks scored an unbeaten 74.

Stamford Bridge picked up a six wicket win against Pickering (177-9) thanks to Salman Syed (76no) and Phil Hill (53).

Bridlington and Carlton Towers, who beat Scarborough and Dunnington respectively, are the only other teams with maximum points.

Woodhouse Grange took full points at Yapham after the home side posted 186-9. Matt Shepherd took 4-28 then team-mate Nathan Saltmer hit 106no supported by Robert Daniel (50). Londesborough Park hit 278-5 against York III who scored 152-9 in reply (David Brown 55).

In division three, Clifton Alliance needed just 15 overs to beat a target of 103 set by opponents Cawood.

Cawood opener Matt Stephens scored 51 as Dominic Snook and Thomas Brown both took three wickets.

Clifton’s Kev Bradley fell before a run was scored but Nick Hinde (66no) and Simon Corley (29) led their side to victory without further loss. They now share the divisional leadership with Whitkirk II, who beat Malton, and Heslington who beat Heworth by seven wickets.

The day’s shortest game lasted just 34 overs where Londesborough Park (45) lost by nine wickets to Goole Town.

North Duffield (284) entertained Copmanthorpe (261-9) at Bubwith in a high scoring draw. Duffield’s Paul Johnson hit 138 off 98 deliveries.

The opening five games in division four all produced positive results. James Hodge made 51 for Bolton Percy but a 5-21 return from Bishopthorpe’s Ian Holmes pegged them to 119-9. Holmes (34) and Scott Chapman (47no) led Bishopthorpe to a four wicket win.

Cawood II were rolled over for only 59 at home to Eastrington who won by 9 wickets in less than 13 overs. Heworth were all out for 153 at Drax who won by six wickets.

Carlton Towers fielded only seven players at Selby and, unsurprisingly, suffered a heavy defeat. Selby posted 252-9 (Gareth Pearce 99). Will Hawe bowled 3-14 for Towers but his side scored just 58.

Pocklington won the local derby with Woodhouse Grange IV (109-9) by eight wickets (Shaun Wilson 4-20, George Baty 33).
