A 29-YEAR-OLD man arrested after a knifeman threatened a police community support officer has appeared in court.
Curtis Turpin, of Scaife Mews, Scaife Street, off Wigginton Road, York, pleaded guilty to affray and using a knife in a threatening manner.
York magistrates committed him for sentence to York Crown Court, where he will appear next month.
Two offences of bike theft against him were withdrawn by the prosecution.
He had been released from prison partway through a 27-month sentence shortly before he committed the offences on March 29 in Crombie Avenue, Clifton.
Following his arrest, he was recalled to prison to finish serving the sentence and remains there today.
