FLORISTRY students will design unique floral bonnets at this year’s Harrogate Spring Flower Show.
The show, which runs between April 20 and 23 at the Great Yorkshire Showground, has been provided with six specially-prepared cars by KA Anderson of Ripon, for students to decorate in the annual college competition.
Colleges from Askham Bryan, Bishop Burton, East Durham, Shipley, Tyne Metropolitan and Wigan & Leigh will create large scale displays on the front of the car. Nick Smith, show director, said: “Our spring show hosts the biggest exhibition of floral art in Britain and the college displays are a highlight for our visitors. We always look for challenges that will bring a contemporary twist to our exhibits and this one is certainly likely to set imaginations running, our only problem now is how to park them in the marquee.” Tickets cost from £16.50 and are available from flowershow.org.uk/show-info
