HEARING loss is a major issue for older people.
Bombarded with adverts offering “free” consultations and specialist pensioner hearing aids, a York Older People’s Assembly meeting on Monday seeks to get below the “hype”.
On Monday, March 20, York Older People’s Assembly is hosting an open meeting to sort out “fact from fiction”.
Invited speakers include: Kate Iley, a senior audiologist from York Hospital; Jane Drake, representing The Wilberforce Trust who are providing hearing services in the community; and starring Ollie from Hearing Dogs for the deaf with his companion Nick Croome.
All are welcome to the meeting at 2pm at the Friends Meeting House in Friargate, York.
Bob Towner, Chair, York Older People’s Assembly
