SIX people - including two children- have been slightly injured in a three-car crash on the A64 in North Yorkshire this afternoon.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said firefighters were called to the accident at Scagglethorpe, near Malton, to assist in getting casualties into ambulances for precautionary check-ups and in helping to clear debris from the scene.
North Yorkshire Police said the crash at 3.16pm involved three cars on a single carriageway stretch of the road, which links York with the Yorkshire Coast.
A spokeswoman said two children and four adults were hurt but their injuries were not serious.
