A TEAM of four business-savvy girls from a York secondary school won the local heat of a national contest.
All Saints RC School in York, were best out of nine other local teams to win the York heat of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales national business and accounting competition, BASE.
The quartet, Grace Brown, Ciara Wallace, Millie Conroy and Miriam Leather, impressed the panel of judges and will go on to take part in the national final, which takes place in June.
The competition was supported by local firms including Aviva, First Intuition, Garbutt & Elliott, Grant Thornton, HPH, JWP Creers, MSF, and Townends.
BASE links schools, students and employers to develop pupil employability.
