The Royal Oak
The Royal Oak stock a fine selection of real ales in our cellar, which we serve in our bar which always has a welcoming atmosphere, with log fires burning in the cold winter months. It is within short walking distance of York Minster Cathedral and thirty seconds from Monk Bar; the eastern gateway through the medieval city walls of York. Moreover, the pub is built on an old Viking road, long since lost. At the Royal Oak our produce is locally sourced and brought in daily, for example our fish is sourced that morning from Whitby, and our bread baked on the day just yards from the pub. With such passion for our ingredients we're confident you'll be pleased with the end results - a delicious range of pub food with something for everyone at a fantastic price.
