PARKING restrictions will be reinstated in Tadcaster tomorrow.
Following the collapse of the bridge, North Yorkshire County Council lifted parking restrictions to allow visitors to park for longer, and support the local community.
Now the bridge has reopened, County Councillor Don Mackenzie said the short-term parking limits would be reintroduced.
Cllr Mackenzie, executive member for highways, said: “Reinstating the waiting restrictions will release short-stay parking spaces, which businesses have asked for, making it easier for more shoppers to visit the town’s traders.” Civil parking officers will return to Tadcaster from tomorrow.
