NEXT week promises to be a big one for York beer enthusiasts.
Scottish brewing giant and pub chain Brewdog has announced that its new bar in Micklegate will open on December 9.
The bar is in the former Portfolio Studios building from 130-134 Micklegate.
The day before, The Woolpack in Fawcett Street will reopen, following its recent closure.
The building is owned by Paul Crossman and Jon Farrow, who also own The Slip Inn and The Volunteer Arms. It will be run by a bar company operated by Revolutions Brewing Company, with Chris and Sharon Sherratt appointed as managers.
