YORK Symphony Orchestra's Winter Concert takes place at the Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall, University of York, on Sunday night.
Conducted by Alasdair Jamieson, the 7.30pm programme comprises Butterworth's orchestral rhapsody A Shropshire Lad, Vaughan Williams' Fantasia for Greensleeves, Bridge's The Sea and Harrison's Symphony No 2 in D flat, "Romantic".
The orchestra will be led as ever by violinist Claire Jowett. Tickets are available from ticket secretary Margaret Moorhouse on 01904 627900, Visit York in Museum Street, from orchestra members or on the door.
