A MAN has died suddenly in a village on the edge of York.
An air ambulance helicopter was sent to Murton but North Yorkshire Police said the man was confirmed to have died at 1.25pm this afternoon.
Four police vans, including a crime scene investigation van, were parked outside a property in Moor Lane by 2pm but three vehicles later left the scene.
Officers were seen going down a driveway beside a property on the street, carrying items of equipment in and out of a terraced house.
A spokeswoman told The Press at 4pm that the incident was being treated as a sudden death with no suspicious circumstances, which would probably go to an inquest.
Local residents said the air ambulance had landed in a field across the road from the property being attended by police.
A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokeswoman said it was called to a 'medical incident' at a private property and so could not comment further.
