Clifford's Tower in York
MANY people will be sad to learn planners and councillors have approved the “toilet block” visitor centre which will now be built at the foot of Clifford’s Tower (“Revamp approved”, The Press, October 28).
To borrow a quote on modern architecture from Prince Charles, it is going to look like a “carbuncle on the face of an old friend”.
