A GROUP concerned about disabled access at Selby railway station have contacted their MP.
Selby and District Rail Users executive committee voted to contact Nigel Adams MP to help them get answers from the Department for Transport about the scale and time of electrification and the consequences for providing disabled access to platforms two and three.
The group claims footfall at the station is now more than 500,000 annually and a growing number of the disabled, those with heavy luggage, and mothers with small children “are being disadvantaged”.
