A DATE has been set for the trial of a man accused of slashing crosses in another man’s face in a city centre pub.
Terence Sullivan, 68, of Vine Street, off Bishopthorpe Road, York, denied wounding the man with intent and having an offensive weapon with a blade at a plea and trial preparation hearing at York Crown Court.
Both offences are alleged to have taken place in the Burns Hotel, in Market Street, York, on February 17.
His case was adjourned for trial on March 6 at the same court and he was released on bail with conditions that he does not go into Market Street for any reason, and does not contact five named prosecution witnesses including the complainant by any means whatsoever.
It was the second time the case had appeared before the crown court.
