THERE are plenty of tall orders and no short measures at this York pub - which claims to have the tallest barman in the city.
The Nag’s Head, in Heworth, has appointed Mark Davey as its new manager.
But at 6ft 8ins, he is too tall to even see through the bar without stooping.
Mark has previously run pubs around Yorkshire and has worked for Timothy Taylor’s, including in Wetherby, Thirsk and Keighley.
He said he was enjoying being in York but regular customers at the pub were making light of his lofty ambitions.
He said: “That’s all they do!
“They all take the Mick whenever I bang my head on things.”
