IT hasn’t taken long for North Yorkshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Julia Mulligan to adopt the public sector mentality of fully spending their budgets, regardless of whether or not the spending is justified (The Press, August 17).
Has she not thought that her department could be run efficiently without spending all that her generous budget allows for?
I do not remember Mrs Mulligan saying she would appoint a deputy when she was campaigning for re-election.
Another employee to pass the blame on to when things go wrong?
